Overview
Au Lau Industrial Park in Yen Bai Province was approved under Decision No. 2078/QD-UBND dated December 25, 2008, by the Yen Bai Provincial People’s Committee. Infrastructure development for the park was authorized under Decision No. 1685 on October 31, 2011, with the first adjustment approved under Decision No. 1371 on July 11, 2016. The project has a total investment of over 433 billion VND.
Covering a total planned area of 118.35 ha, the park accommodates various industries, focusing on clean and low-pollution sectors. The area designated for factories and warehouses spans 81.06 ha, meeting regulatory standards and the specific needs of investors.
As of October 2021, the park hosts nine registered investment projects, with a total registered capital of 1.622 trillion VND and a land usage area of 60.6 ha, achieving nearly 75% occupancy.
Location
Au Lau Industrial Park is conveniently located adjacent to National Highway 37 and the Noi Bai–Lao Cai Expressway, offering excellent transport and logistics advantages.
Infrastructure
Internal Roads:
- Main roads: 32.5 m wide, 4 lanes.
- Secondary roads: 26.5 m wide, 2 lanes.
Electricity:
- Power is sourced from the 110/22kV substation, with distribution lines running along internal roads and connecting to each factory boundary.
Public Lighting:
- Road lighting is installed separately from the residential power system and runs along traffic routes.
Water Supply:
- Water is supplied by the Yen Binh Water Plant (4,000 m³/day) through D300 pipelines along the park’s roads.
Drainage Systems:
- Separate systems are planned for stormwater and wastewater collection along internal roads:
- Stormwater is discharged directly into receiving sources.
- Wastewater is treated at the park’s centralized wastewater treatment plant before being released into the environment.

Waste Management:
- Factories contract with licensed service providers for waste sorting, collection, and transportation, ensuring environmental compliance.
Telecommunications:
- Services provided by VNPT, FPT, and Viettel ensure uninterrupted domestic and international communication, including telephony, mobile phones, fax, and internet.

Au Lau Industrial Park is a multi-sector park, focusing on:

- Agricultural and forestry product processing
- Mechanical engineering and consumer goods production
Labor costs
Located in Region III, the current regional minimum wage is 3,430,000 VND/month.

- A customs office is planned at the park’s operational center to expedite enterprise procedures.
- Banks:
- Banks are located 1 km from the park, with on-site ATMs to support worker transactions.
- Postal Services:
- Modern IT systems provide multi-service communication, including data transmission, telephony, internet, and video conferencing.
- Public Transport:
- Bus routes connect the park to key destinations such as Hai Duong, Hanoi, Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, Phu Tho, Bac Ninh, and Tuyen Quang.
- Fire Safety:
- Fire hydrants are installed along the park’s roads for fire prevention and control.
- Accommodation:
- Proximity to vibrant residential areas ensures convenient housing and living conditions for workers.
- Healthcare:
- The city boasts a comprehensive healthcare system, including general hospitals, traditional medicine hospitals, endocrinology hospitals, specialized medical centers, and well-equipped local health stations, making it a hub for high-quality medical services in northern Vietnam.
- Education:
- As Yen Bai Province’s educational hub, the city hosts various colleges, such as Yen Bai Medical College, Pedagogical College, and Vocational College. Around 50%-70% of schools meet national standards, with Yen Bai Vocational College being developed into a northern regional training center. One training program meets international standards, and three meet ASEAN standards.
