Nam Dinh Province, characterized by a relatively flat terrain, consists primarily of low-lying deltas and coastal plains. The province boasts a 72-kilometer coastline and is traversed by major rivers such as the Red River, Day River, and Ninh Co River, offering significant advantages for waterway transport and marine economic development.

In recent years, Nam Dinh’s socio-economic development has seen comprehensive growth. From 2015 to 2020, the province’s Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) increased by an average of 7.9% annually, reaching nearly VND 80 trillion in 2020. This performance surpasses the 6.2% annual growth rate recorded during 2010-2015. Investment attraction includes approximately USD 3.5 billion in FDI and over VND 32 trillion in domestic investment, marking significant progress compared to the earlier period.

Nam Dinh focuses on adjusting its industrial spatial distribution to align with the economic development strategy within the province. The goal is to complete industrialization and modernization by 2030 and emerge as a leading industrialized province in the Red River Delta by 2045.

With its strategic location and synchronized infrastructure, Nam Dinh is considered one of Vietnam’s promising investment destinations. Renowned international corporations like Youngone, Toyota, and Herberton have established operations here, consistently increasing their investments.

I. Four Operational Industrial Parks

Hoa Xa Industrial Park

Area:300 hectares

Location:Pham Ngu Lao Street, Loc Hoa Commune, My Xa District, Nam Dinh City
Hoa Xa IP was established in 2003 and completed in 2013. With its strategic location and comprehensive infrastructure, it has attracted around 120 enterprises, achieving a 100% occupancy rate.

My Trung Industrial Park

Location:My Trung, My Phuc, My Tan Communes, My Loc District
Although My Trung IP faces challenges in attracting investment, it currently hosts 14 projects, including FDI from Hong Kong and Japan.

Bao Minh Industrial Park

Duration:2010–2060 (Phase 1), 2020–2070 (Phase 2)

Bao Minh IP is home to major global corporations such as Sumitomo Group, Sunrise Smart Shirts, and Padmac, employing over 9,800 workers.

Rang Dong Textile and Garment Industrial Park (Aurora IP)

As Vietnam’s first eco-industrial park, Rang Dong IP integrates a sustainable industrial ecosystem and has received multiple awards for green development.
