Nam Dinh Industrial Parks Attracting Investment
Nam Dinh’s industrial parks benefit significantly from the province’s strategic location and its well-developed transport infrastructure, including major highways such as National Highway 10, National Highway 21, and the Cao Bo – Mai Son – Nam Dinh Expressway. Additionally, provincial roads and rural transportation routes have been paved, facilitating trade and investment.
ECONOMIC OVERVIEW
In 2024, Nam Dinh achieved remarkable socio-economic development milestones. The province’s GRDP is estimated at VND 50,230 billion, representing an 8.2% increase compared to 2023. The economic structure includes 65% industry and construction, 27% services, and 8% agriculture.
NAM DINH INDUSTRIAL PARKS
Currently, Nam Dinh has six industrial parks in operation, covering a total area of over 1,500 hectares, with an occupancy rate of 80%.
- Bai Vien Industrial Park: Focused on textile and garment industries, as well as light industries.
- Hong Tien Industrial Park: A hub for electronics manufacturing and industrial production enterprises.
- My Trung Industrial Park: Particularly attractive to FDI investors from Japan and South Korea.
The total number of projects in these industrial parks amounts to 320, including 200 FDI projects with a total registered capital of USD 3.8 billion.
DEVELOPMENT PLANNING
Nam Dinh aims to establish four new industrial parks with a total area of 2,500 hectares by 2030, while also expanding the area of existing industrial parks. These new industrial parks will be strategically located in districts such as Giao Thuy, Hai Hau, and Y Yen, as well as in Nam Dinh city, to support industrial expansion and create additional employment opportunities for the local workforce.
FAVORABLE INVESTMENT ENVIRONMENT
Nam Dinh is committed to providing a favorable and transparent investment environment with attractive incentive policies, such as:
- Corporate Income Tax Incentives: High-tech and supporting industry projects are eligible for tax incentives for up to 15 years.
- Land Lease Incentives: Land rental exemptions for 5–10 years, depending on the type and scale of the project.
- Workforce Training Support: The province collaborates with vocational schools to supply a skilled workforce tailored to business needs.
NOTABLE PROJECTS
In 2024, Nam Dinh attracted several significant projects, including:
- Samsung Electronics Component Manufacturing Plant: A project with a total investment of USD 200 million in My Trung Industrial Park, expected to create 3,000 jobs.
- Texhong Dyeing and Finishing Factory: Located in Hong Tien Industrial Park, with an investment of USD 150 million.
- Nam Dinh Logistics Center: A modern infrastructure project to support goods transportation and storage for the province’s industrial parks.
FUTURE VISION
Nam Dinh aims to become a key industrial and logistics hub in the Red River Delta region by 2030. To achieve this, the province will:
- Continue to upgrade transportation infrastructure and industrial parks.
- Accelerate administrative reforms and apply digital technology in management.
- Develop environmentally friendly and green industries.
