Overview
Chau Son Industrial Park is one of eight industrial parks located in Ha Nam Province. It spans across Chau Son Ward and Le Hong Phong Ward (Phu Ly City), Thanh Son Commune (Kim Bang District), and Kien Khe Town (Thanh Liem District), with a total planned area of 377 hectares. The developed infrastructure covers 317.5 hectares, including 211.8 hectares of industrial land.
Phase 1 was directly invested in by the province, while Phase 2 infrastructure was developed by VPID Ha Nam Co., Ltd. on 115 hectares. Phase 2 has already attracted numerous businesses, primarily from South Korea, with over 50 hectares of industrial land allocated to investors, representing about 60% of the available industrial land.
With its strategic location in the heart of Ha Nam Province, modern and comprehensive infrastructure, and abundant labor resources, Chau Son Industrial Park had attracted more than 117 projects as of February 2020. Among these are 54 FDI projects from countries like South Korea, China, and the Netherlands, with a total investment of USD 345.77 million, and 63 DDI projects totaling over VND 10,000 billion.
Location
The industrial park is situated in Chau Son Ward and Le Hong Phong Ward (Phu Ly City), Kim Bang District, and Thanh Liem District, Ha Nam Province. This location offers significant advantages for transportation and logistics, facilitating the movement of goods to and from nearby regions.
Infrastructure
Internal Roads
The internal road system is well-designed to ensure smooth access for vehicles. Central roads are 32 meters wide, while branch roads are 23 meters wide.
Electricity System
The power supply is stable and reliable, sourced from the 110/35 KV transformer station. A dedicated 110 KV station is located at the main entrance of the industrial park.
Public Lighting
The public lighting system is independent of the residential electricity supply and is installed along major roads within the industrial park.
Water Supply
Clean water is supplied by Phu Ly City’s water plant with a capacity of 31,000 m³/day and night. The water supply system extends to the boundaries of each plot, ensuring easy connection for enterprises.
Drainage System
Separate drainage systems are in place for rainwater and wastewater. Rainwater is collected via a network of drains and discharged into local rivers, while wastewater is collected and treated at the industrial park’s wastewater treatment plant.
Waste Management
Factories within the industrial park sign contracts with certified waste management companies for the collection and disposal of waste to prevent environmental pollution.
Wastewater Treatment
The wastewater treatment plant has a current capacity of 2,900 m³/day and night for Phase 1, with plans to expand as needed.
Communication System
The telecommunications system, provided by Viettel, meets international standards, offering 9–10 lines per hectare and supporting domestic and international postal services.
Supported Industries
Chau Son Industrial Park primarily attracts the following industries:
- Building materials production using cement
- Agricultural and forestry product processing
- Food processing
- Electronics and refrigeration assembly
- Mechanical engineering for agriculture
- Consumer goods production, including textiles and garments
Labor costs
Located in Phu Ly City and Kim Bang District, Chau Son Industrial Park falls under Region III. The current minimum wage for Region III is VND 3,860,000 per month.
Social Infrastructure
- Customs Services:A customs office is planned at the industrial park’s central operations area for convenient and fast processing of customs procedures.
- Banks:Banks located around the industrial park offer convenient financial services.
- Postal Services:Modern IT infrastructure supports diverse services like data transmission, telephony, internet, and video conferencing.
- Public Transport:Daily buses connect Hanoi to Ha Nam Province via National Highway 1A, running from 5:00 AM to 7:30 PM at intervals of 20 minutes.
- Fire Prevention:A fire hydrant network integrated with the water supply system is installed along the roads.
- Accommodation:The industrial park is near vibrant residential areas, meeting the housing and living needs of workers.
- Healthcare:Comprehensive healthcare facilities and modern hospitals cater to workers’ medical needs.
- Education:Ha Nam Province has approximately 10 vocational schools with over 500 instructors and 10,000 students annually, including Ha Nam College of Education, Broadcasting College, Hydraulics Secondary School, Forestry Processing School, Postal and Telecommunications Secondary School, and Ha Nam Medical Secondary School.
