On February 8, 2021, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 180/QD-TTg approving the investment policy for the construction and infrastructure business project of Lien Ha Thai Industrial – Urban – Service Park (Green iP-1), northern sub-zone, in Thai Binh Province. This marked an important milestone, establishing the first industrial park to pioneer the Thai Binh Economic Zone. The Provincial People’s Committee of Thai Binh selected Lien Ha Thai Industrial Park for early development in the Economic Zone with the aim of building a model industrial park to inspire large domestic and international investors to study and invest in this park as well as in other functional areas of the Thai Binh Economic Zone in the near future.

Lien Ha Thai Industrial – Urban – Service Park is located in Thuy Lien Commune, Thuy Ha Commune, and Diem Dien Town, Thai Thuy District. The project occupies a prime location adjacent to the Coastal Expressway, connecting to the Coastal Road, National Highways 39 and 37, and Provincial Road 456. The park covers an area of more than 588.8 ha with a total investment of about VND 3,885 billion, developed by Green I-Park JSC.

The park is planned with infrastructure meeting modern industrial standards: nearly 10% of land area dedicated to transportation, 2% for technical infrastructure, over 10% for green space and water surface, and 11% for public services, while the remainder is allocated for factories, warehouses, and enterprises. The manufacturing zone of the park is strategically located along the Coastal Road and National Highway 39, creating advantages for enterprises in logistics and exports. The nearly 400 ha of industrial land will be prioritized for large-scale enterprises and supporting industries to form an interconnected production chain.

Currently, many secondary investors have studied and committed to investing in the park. Typical investors include: Greenworks Vietnam Co., Ltd. (10 ha) for garden and smart household appliances; Ilshintech Vietnam Co., Ltd. (20 ha) for electronic components and automotive parts; and J&B Drive Vina Co., Ltd. (30 ha) for manufacturing and assembling construction elevators, BMU systems, escalators, mobile stairs, and transport equipment.

Once operational, the park is expected to contribute over VND 432 billion annually to the provincial budget and create around 50,000 jobs. Lien Ha Thai Industrial – Urban – Service Park is envisioned as the flagship project to “ignite” investment into the Thai Binh Economic Zone, making it one of the country’s most dynamic and fast-developing economic zones, thereby boosting the province’s socio-economic growth.
