Tuyen Quang Industrial Park Attracts Investment
Tuyen Quang is a land rich in historical and cultural traditions, holding a strategically important position in the history of Vietnam’s foundation and defense. In the early days of the nation’s foundation, Tuyen Quang served as a robust “frontier wall” protecting the Thang Long Citadel. The establishment of Tuyen Quang Province in 1831 affirmed the strategic stature of this region, marking a historical turning point in the province’s development.
Over 190 years of history, the solidarity and sense of community cohesion among the people here have crystallized into a resilient internal strength, providing a solid foundation for overcoming difficulties, combating natural disasters and enemies, securing their homeland, and driving development.
Potential and Advantages
Nature and cultural history have endowed Tuyen Quang with abundant potential and advantages in land resources, climate, minerals, and tourism. The province boasts a forest coverage rate of over 65%, among the highest in the country, with many preserved primeval forests such as Tat Ke, Ban Bung, and Cham Chu, home to diverse and rare flora and fauna species.
The fertile land of Tuyen Quang contains a wealth of minerals, including 200 mines, deposits, and 86 mineral sites of 31 types, such as iron ore, tin, manganese, zinc, antimony, barite, kaolin, and limestone. These resources offer favorable conditions for developing mining, mineral processing industries, and construction material manufacturing.
The province has implemented innovative measures to mobilize, manage, and efficiently utilize investment resources, enhancing infrastructure quality and urban development. National, provincial, and district roads are regularly maintained and upgraded. Rural transportation has received significant attention, aligned with the new countryside construction program.
Provincial Development
The province now has 47 communes meeting new rural standards, including two advanced communes. Urban areas, from the provincial city to district and commune centers, have been transformed into modern landscapes. Notably, Tuyen Quang City has been upgraded to a Grade II urban area. These achievements have given Tuyen Quang a new, stable, progressive, and distinctive look, propelling it toward becoming a fairly developed province among the northern mountainous provinces.
