The Nam Tan Tap Industrial Park project was approved for investment policy by the Prime Minister under Decision No. 1420/QD-TTg dated August 20, 2021, and by Decision No. 9267/QD-UBND dated September 22, 2021, of the Long An Provincial People’s Committee on the establishment of Nam Tan Tap Industrial Park.

On October 9, 2021, the Long An Provincial People’s Committee held a ceremony to award the Investment Policy Decision and the Establishment Decision of Nam Tan Tap IP. The project is located in Tan Tap Commune, Can Giuoc District, Long An Province, with a total area of 244.74 ha. The investor is Saigontel Long An Co., Ltd. (a member of Saigontel), responsible for investment, construction, and infrastructure business, with a total capital of over VND 2,590 billion. This company is an affiliate of Kinh Bac City Development Holding Corporation (KBC) and a subsidiary of Saigon Telecommunication & Technologies Corporation (SGT).

Development of Tan Tap Innovation Center (LA Innovation Techno Park)
Within this project, land has already been leased by the Long An Provincial People’s Committee to six secondary investors. However, nearly 160 ha of land still required clearance. On December 26, 2022, Long An PPC issued Decision No. 7753/QD-UBND approving the compensation, support, and resettlement plan for the project. According to the plan, 1,498 households were affected, with an area of over 158 ha, and total compensation of approximately VND 2,112 billion. To date, 572 households have been compensated with nearly VND 829 billion. The remaining 926 households (plus 23 partially compensated) require an additional VND 1,284 billion.

One of the key highlights that distinguishes Nam Tan Tap IP from traditional industrial parks is the development of Tan Tap Innovation Center (LA Innovation Techno Park), covering 100 ha within the IP. The center will introduce and implement favorable policies to foster science, technology, and innovation, aiming to attract scientists, intellectuals, and young talents, while also drawing in major technology corporations and leading enterprises to establish R&D and production facilities.

Nam Tan Tap IP offers an ideal geographical location, natural landscape, and clean environment, meeting the standards of an eco-friendly, pollution-free industrial park. The IP attracts many investors in electronics, precision engineering, and supporting industries for large corporations.

The IP is expected to attract more than USD 6 billion in FDI from major international corporations, especially in electronics and precision mechanics. Once operational, Nam Tan Tap IP will not only boost industrial production value, exports, and land-use efficiency, but also transform underdeveloped rural areas into modern industrial zones. The project contributes to industrialization and modernization goals, creating a new growth hub for Long An Province, enhancing both regional and national competitiveness.
