Overview
Dong Hoi Industrial Park is one of the top 10 key industrial parks in Nghe An Province. It is expected to attract investors, boost the local economy, and create stable employment opportunities for workers.
Dong Hoi Industrial Park is located in Quynh Lap and Quynh Loc communes, Hoang Mai Town, Nghe An Province. Initially, the infrastructure investor was Nghe An Petroleum Construction JSC. Later, the province reassigned the infrastructure investment to Vietnam Investment Partners Co., Ltd (VIP). The industrial park covers an area of 457.07 hectares, designed with modern and synchronized infrastructure, including wide internal roads, extensive green areas, and international-standard electricity and water supply systems. The flexible land lots accommodate various types of factories.
Dong Hoi Industrial Park has natural advantages for developing a deep-water port capable of accommodating ships from 10,000 to 30,000 tons. It is linked to the Dong Hoi Seaport, which has been approved for detailed planning by the Ministry of Transport under Decision No. 838/QD-BGTVT dated April 28, 2011.
Part of the Nam Thanh – Bac Nghe Economic Industrial Cluster
This area is suitable for thermal power plants, metallurgy, cement production, and supporting industries. It connects with Nghi Son Refinery, Hoang Mai Cement Plant, and Hoang Mai Metallurgy Industrial Park, forming the Nam Thanh – Bac Nghe Economic Industrial Cluster.
Currently, Dong Hoi Industrial Park is nearly fully occupied.
Southern Thanh Hoa – Northern Nghe An key economic zone, approved by the government. It is 5 km from National Highway 1A and the North-South Railway, and close to Nghi Son Deep-Water Port.
Location
Dong Hoi Industrial Park is located in Quynh Lap and Quynh Loc communes, Hoang Mai Town, Nghe An Province, within the Southern Thanh Hoa – Northern Nghe An key economic zone, approved by the government. It is 5 km from National Highway 1A and the North-South Railway, and close to Nghi Son Deep-Water Port.
Infrastructure
Internal Road System
- Main roads: 43m wide, with 4-6 lanes.
- Internal roads: Fully developed and integrated with existing regional roads. Internal road widths range from 13m to 60m.
Power Supply
- The industrial park is powered by the Nghe An Thermal Power Plant (Phase 1: 1,200MW).
- When operational, the power plant will supply electricity to the national grid, industrial park factories, and residential areas.
Public Lighting System
- The street lighting network is separate from the electricity supply system.
- Lighting is installed along all roads within the industrial park.
Water Supply
- Wastewater treatment plant: Initial capacity 8,000 m³/day-night, expanding to 16,000 m³/day-night by 2025.
- Raw water source: Vuc Mau – Khe Lai Reservoir.
- Water is supplied through a pipeline network to industrial factories and nearby residential areas.
Drainage & Waste Treatment
- Stormwater and wastewater drainage systems are separate.
- Stormwater is discharged into the industrial park’s drainage canals.
- Solid waste is collected at a central transfer station, sorted, and transported to a treatment facility.
- Wastewater is pre-treated by individual factories to comply with TCVN 5945-2005 before entering the park’s central wastewater treatment plant, where it is further treated to Standard B before discharge.
Telecommunications
The industrial park is connected to a modern telecommunications center, providing services such as private telephone exchanges, international calls, teleconferencing, leased lines, high-speed internet, and email services.
