Thot Not Industrial Park was established under Decision No. 1107/QD-TTg dated August 21, 2009, by the Prime Minister. Initially, it was planned with a total area of 610.9 hectares, divided into two development phases and located in Vinh Thanh and Co Do Districts, Can Tho City. This area benefits from multi-modal transport systems, making it highly favorable for logistics and cargo circulation.

However, under Official Document No. 156/TTg-CN dated February 4, 2021, the Prime Minister approved a reduction in the park’s area from 600 hectares to 200 hectares, relocating it to Thoi Thuan Commune, Thot Not District, Can Tho City. According to the city’s industrial zone development report, confirmed by Notice No. 243/TB-VPUB dated August 18, 2022, the Thot Not Industrial Park was further reduced to 74.57 hectares, retaining only the land already cleared and with existing secondary investors (specifically reducing Phase 3 by approximately 32.09 hectares).

The park’s developer is Thot Not Industrial Park Development Joint Stock Company, a subsidiary of Vietnam National Textile and Garment Group (Vinatex)—a company with extensive experience in large-scale project implementation across the country.

Its key advantage lies in its seamlessly connected transport infrastructure and the presence of an internal port, which facilitates cargo operations, raw material receipt, equipment transport, and investment activities.
