General Introduction

VSIP Quang Ngai Industrial Park was approved by the People’s Committee of Quang Ngai Province under Decision No. 1116/QD-UBND dated July 23, 2012. It is the fifth VSIP project in Vietnam and the first in the Central Region, officially inaugurated on September 13, 2013 in the presence of then Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung, Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and his wife, and other domestic and international dignitaries. The project is developed by the Vietnam – Singapore Industrial Park (VSIP) Group.

Located within the Dung Quat Economic Zone, the project covers a total area of 1,700 hectares, including 1,200 ha of industrial land inside the economic zone and 500 ha of urban and service land near Quang Ngai City. The project is divided into two phases:

• Phase 1: ~1,143 ha
• Phase 2: ~603 ha

To date, approximately 490 ha out of 660 ha of industrial land has been developed, with synchronized infrastructure and public utilities, including a fire and security station (operating 24/7) and other supporting facilities serving investors’ production and development needs.

A Decade of Investment & Development

Over the past 10 years, VSIP Quang Ngai has established itself as a trusted destination for investors with infrastructure built to professional, green, and environmentally friendly standards.

So far, it has attracted 34 investors from countries such as the USA, Philippines, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Belgium, China, with total committed capital exceeding USD 1 billion.

Among them, 22 investors are in operation, generating over 28,000 jobs.

Once all 34 investors are operational, they are expected to create 53,000 jobs for local labor.

With a population of 1.3 million and around 60% being of working age, the local labor pool is abundant. The province also hosts universities and vocational schools, supporting skilled labor recruitment—an attractive feature for businesses in the area.

The VSIP model has become a symbol of strong Vietnam–Singapore economic cooperation, blending Vietnam’s land and labor resources with Singapore’s expertise in industrial park management and integrated urban infrastructure solutions. It is a gateway to attract high-value and capital-intensive industries, contributing to Vietnam’s economic transformation.
